Bountiful rains and greenery all around, Garbett Plateau is one of the most beautiful trek in Matheran. It offers a 360 degree panoramic view of the entire Matheran range. Situated on the south-west of Matheran, Garbett Point offers a breathtaking view of the range and the lake below. The plateau can be spotted from the train itself!

If you’re lucky, you might get to witness reverse waterfalls too. Windy and breezy, this point is indeed a beautiful destination to hike the monsoon. Climate here is very cool with some breath-taking views.

History
Long back in 1850, Hugh Poyntz Malet had discovered his point for leisure and relaxation.

How to Reach
The cheapest and the convenient way to reach Garbett Point Trek base village (Diksal) is via railways. The nearest railway station is the Bhivpuri Road station which is just a few meters away from the Diksal Village. You can also reach Diksal village by road using GPS.

This show is a brilliant and imaginative take on the genre. It is visually and intellectually satisfying and blends genres of romance, crime, thriller, and most notably science fiction.
It deals with complex scientific concepts such as multiverses and inter-dimensional travel. the imagery is often supernatural and spiritual, but never in a cheesy way.
I explained this show to a friend as “It’s like if David Lynch made sense”. Lynch is a brilliant film maker, and his recent instalment of Twin Peaks The Return deals with many of the same concepts that the OA explores. The OA is the winner in my mind because it manages to weave a coherent narrative with an overarching message while exploring complicated subjects. It doesn’t get lost in it’s own brilliance, it is a very watchable show in that it asks questions and then provides many of the answers, but not enough to be boring.
I was in love with the first season, but the second season is so much more fast pased and thought provoking. A truly excellent show and I hear they have written 5 seasons so here’s to 3 more!

This film is incredible if you have the stomach for it.

Camera angles are bold and there are plenty of long shots which raise the tension and pan out the natural behavior of all the characters within your periphery

The plot is incredibly simple and is grounded in a realistic nightmare. Distrust develops amongst strangers whom have initially bonded in one cause and were seemingly a perfect cohesive unit until their primordial selves come through.

The acting is fierce yet practical: the characters all feel like different friends with their own quirks and endearing qualities and you can’t help but feel agony through the missteps which happen throughout their time during the events that unfold.

This movie was an absolutely amazing surprise and I dare anyone to try and watch this film and not feel something after watching. If you didn’t, you’ve probably not been to a party in a long time.

Thanks to some of ours’ luck, we get to visit Goa every now and then, whereas there are few who are still dreaming of getting captured, re-enacting the popular scenes from Dil Chahta Hai. Luckily, Rohan Mayenker began 2020 on a great note and planned an escapade to Goa. Being an ardent traveler by heart with a passion for photography, this seemed to be the perfect opportunity for him to get along with his very own travel buddy and capture every minute of this beautiful journey which began with the Christmas festivities, followed by SUNBURN 2019, and a lot of town hopping.
